INVESTIGATING

Interconnect facilities that Pioneer Communications utilize to deliver some long distance and calling services to our customers have been negatively impacted by forces beyond our control. We are currently assessing the situation. We will post further updates as they become available. Currently direct trunks that transport long distance calls to Verizon Business and or Worldcom along with those 8XX calling services are down. A ticket has been opened up with the carrier.

Pioneer Communications will be performing Emergency maintenance on equipment in our network. We need to do a reset and or replacement on a failed transport card. From time to time we must do this to be able to continue to deliver the highest quality of service. This maintenance will impact the services listed on this notice.

This long distance issue with Worldcom / Verizon Business has been resolved. Worldcom resolved the issue around 11:30 PM last night. All services are now working as they should. Thank you for your patience.

IDENTIFIED

Worldcom / Verizon Business is experiencing a network issue outside of the Pioneer Communications area that is impacting long distance calls for customers that have them as a long distance provider. Customers also may not be able to call 800 numbers belonging to VZ Business. They have identified the trouble and are working to restore it.
